GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ENGEN APPLICATION - ENGEN CLUB

These General Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement“) govern the use of the Engen Application (the “App“) and participation in the 3-Tiered Club (the “Club”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App and participating in the Club, you (the “User”, “Member” or “your”) agree to be bound by the Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of the Agreement, do not use the App or participate in the Club.

1. Club Tier

1.1 The Club consists of 3 tiers: Mont-Choisy, Chamarel and Le Morne. Membership in each tier is determined by purchase history (fuel, lubricants, Café 365, Quickshop) at Engen service stations.

1.2 The App provides a clear breakdown of the requirements for each tier.

  • Mont-Choisy (“Tier 1/Level 1”): As from Rs 5,000 spent;
  • Chamarel (“Tier 2/Level 2”): As from Rs 7,000 spent;
  • Le Morne (“Tier 3/ Level 3”): As from Rs 10,000 spent.


1.3 Users will automatically be assigned to the appropriate tier based on their purchase history.

2. Membership and Enrolment

2.1 Membership to the Club is open to residents and individuals aged 18 or older. Participants must also own a Mauritian phone number starting with ‘5’.

2.2 Users can join the Club by downloading the App and create an account or by registration at the Engen service stations.

2.3 To join the Club, Users will have to produce their National Identity Card and provide a mobile number (the “Personal Data”) to Engen Petroleum (Mauritius) Limited (the “Company”). Upon subscription to the App, Users acknowledge to have provided their consent that the Company collects, stores, and processes their Personal Data.

2.4 Membership in the Club may be terminated or suspended at the discretion of the App provider for any reason, including violation of the Agreement.

2.5 Members may voluntarily leave the Club and the App any time by contacting customer support on 206 6000.

3. Registration of Transactions

3.1 Cumulation of transactions start of the first day of each month and ends of the last day of the same month.

3.2 On the first day of each month, all tiers’ transactions are reset to zero.

3.3 Monthly transactions are non-cumulative and do not carry forward from one month to the next.

3.4 Transactions registered within your assigned Club are non-transferable.

3.5 Each transaction is considered as an entry and is assigned a number.

3.6 Members can view their transactions in the ‘Transaction History’ on the App.

4. Lucky Draws

5. Prizes

4.1 The Company’s staffs, service stations staffs and dealers, as well as customers using vouchers for fuel purchases are not eligible to participate into the lucky draws.

4.2 Three draws will be held each month (one per tier), at the Mauritius Turf Club, under the supervision of the Gambling Regulatory Authority, on the following dates for the period starting September 2024 until December 2024:

  • 1st Draw: 05. 09.2024
  • 2nd Draw: 04.10.2024
  • 3rd Draw: 05.11.2024
  • 4th Draw: 05.12.2024
  • 5th Draw: 13.01.2025

4.3 A User qualifying to participate in the draw of Tier 2, shall automatically be entitled to participate in the draw of Tier 1. If a User qualifying to participate in the draw of Tier 3, shall automatically be entitled to participate in the draws of Tier 1 and Tier 2.

5.2 The list of the winning entries will be communicated on the Facebook page of Engen Mauritius, in newspapers on our website www.engenmauritius.com.

5.3 The prizes will be remitted to the winner at the Company’s Head Office upon presentation of his / her identity card and proof of ownership of the phone number.

5.4 Prizes are non-negotiable and must be claimed within 6 months of the draw date. After this period, no claim will be taken into consideration.

6. Modification and Termination

6.1 The Company may at any point in time and in its sole discretion modify or terminate the Club or the App for any reason without prior notice.

7. Privacy Policy

7.1 The App collects, stores and uses Personal Data of registered Member of the App. Your Personal Data may also be kept even if you are no longer a Member.

7.2 For the purposes of the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 (the “DPA”) and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”), by using the App and participating in the Club, the Member consents that the Company collects, procures, retains and process Personal Data, including specified categories of Personal Data, of which it is the subject, in relation to this Agreement in Mauritius and to such other relevant jurisdiction as may be required for the purposes of the Agreement and to transfer or disclose same to the designated agents, nominees, trustees, or préposés of the Company to whom such Personal Data must be transferred/disclosed, whether inside or outside of Mauritius and to such other relevant jurisdiction as may be required for the purposes of the Agreement or generally of the European Economic Area in connection with the performance of this Agreement, or for meeting their respective legal, regulatory, reporting and/or financial obligations towards governmental, regulatory and taxation authorities as applicable.

7.3 In cases of transfer of Personal Data outside of Mauritius and to such other relevant jurisdiction as may be required for the purposes of the Agreement:

  • (a) The Member consents to the Company that the processing, including the transfer itself, of the Personal Data by it has been and, up to the moment of the transfer, will continue to be carried out in accordance with all the relevant provisions of the DPA and GDPR (and where applicable has been notified to the relevant authorities); and
  • (b) The Company shall ensure (except in relation to countries where the disclosing party conducts or intends to conduct business, or as otherwise agreed by the Company and the User) that the country to which Personal Data is transferred provides adequate protection for the processing of such Personal Data.

8.1 If you have any questions about the Agreement, the App, or the Club, you can contact customer support on 206 6000.

8.2 Any information regarding the features of the Engen App is available on the mobile application or at www.engenmauritius.com.

8.3 By continuing to use the App and participating in the Club, you indicate your acceptance of the Agreement. Please ensure that you review this Agreement periodically for any updates. Your continued use of the App and participation in the Club after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of those modifications.
